New 2014 Online Business Model Trends

By Nathir Sufyan

Most people who have been in business know by now the importance of having a local presence online. People find you online and they will come to your place of business to try you out if you have an attractive and informative website. So many small business owners have hired an internet manager or someone to mind their online presence.

Another familiar marketing tactic is for a local business to be able to market to a local audience through Google Places, by positioning your information high up on their list as it appears at the top of the Google page. There are a few new strategies that are vital if you are going to be in the game, as there have been a few new developments that need mentioning.

Online experiences must be personalized and customize for each customer. It must be easily obtainable and freely accessible. This is what the public expects now. This poses a challenge for businesses because customers expect instant results. They want information in real time. Businesses know that if they cannot deliver, the customer can easily find another source, another app, to download and get what they want.

Let's say a family is out shopping on a Saturday morning, and suddenly they realize that it is approaching lunch time. The husband searches on his smart phone for a family type restaurant, and he finds you, or does he. If you are not set up for mobile, he won't find you at all.

SMS marketing is another method of saturating a market. Another study has shown that 98 per cent of all text messages are opened, just out of curiosity to see what they say. Wouldn't you like a platform like that where you could text everybody in a zip code, and have 98% look at your offer? Both of those ideas are here now and ready to go, all you have to do is have someone set you up for those, and then watch the profits roll in.
