Social Media Tips: Facebook Mastery

By Joseph Stan

Facebook is without a doubt the biggest social network in the world, currently with over 800 million people. If you are not using Facebook to market your business or build relationships for your business then you might be leaving money on the table. This article is all about how to take your social media marketing to the next level with Facebook.

There's no doubt that if you plan on selling or advertising anything on Facebook then the best way to do that is via your own Facebook page. If you have a personal Facebook account it's important that you keep your business related promotions separate from your personal networks of friends and family. If you have a network of only customers or business friends then that would be an exception.

Try very hard to make your Facebook page more unique and memorable than others. Add pictures and color. Pages with images are more attractive to your Facebook fans than just plain text. A fan base is something that you will want to expand as much as possible. Having an excess of 5,000 fans is best. When you hit the 5,000 follower mark, the percentage of people who buy your product should start to rise.

Your main priorities should be to provide value via content. This can be in the form of videos, articles or pictures that can be both informative, funny and related to your niche. Try to post on your page at least twice every single day and focus on growing that existing fan base. The content can be from related pages to yours or content you create.

A big mistake many new Facebook marketers make is buying Facebook followers to look more popular. This can be a costly mistake because Facebook will actually punish you by not letting a large percentage of your real followers see your posts. Focus only on acquiring real followers which you can do via invites or using paid ads. You can get started with a small budget and grow from there. We hope these tips are helpful and that you take advantage of them.
